Semi Crepe Sarees
Crepe is produced by twisting the yarn tightly before weaving, which gives the finished cloth its faintly pebbled surface and matte, non-reflective finish. Semi crepe sarees carry that texture in a lighter, more affordable construction. They drape closer to the body than a stiff silk and hold pleats without bulk, which makes them a practical choice for long days — office wear, day functions and travel — where a heavy saree becomes tiring.

Semi Crepe Sarees — Questions
- What makes crepe fabric different?
- Crepe yarn is twisted tightly before weaving, which gives the finished cloth a faintly pebbled surface and a matte finish that does not reflect light. It drapes closer to the body than a stiff silk and holds pleats without adding bulk.
- Are your sarees Silk Mark certified?
- Yes. Every pure silk saree we sell carries the Silk Mark label issued by the Silk Mark Organisation of India, which certifies the fabric is genuine natural silk and not art silk or a synthetic blend. RAMI SILKS is authorised by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
- How should I wash and store a silk saree?
- Dry clean only. Never machine wash or wring a pure silk saree. Store it folded in a cotton or muslin cloth rather than plastic, refold along different lines every few months so permanent creases do not set at the same points, and keep it out of direct sunlight, which fades natural dyes.
- Do you ship across India?
- Yes. We ship free across India. Orders are dispatched from Hyderabad, Telangana, and payment is accepted by UPI.
